MG Midget
Here we have a Beautiful Bronze Mark 3 MG Midget, First Registered on the 11. 08. 1971 at West Over Motors Limited of Castle Lane Bournemouth.
This beauty has been carefully owned for the past 26 years by the same keeper, The owner had the best intentions to restore this car back in 1996. After a successful string of previous renovations carried out on other classics of yester year, The future looked very bright for this little MG but Sadly, Ill health stopped the completion of this project.
Frozen in time, in a very dry garage in the New Forest, only a stones throw away from where this car was originally registered.
The car has a lovely service history with Invoices and bill back to 1978!!
An invoice dated 1st of March 1980, mileage was 63, 260 – the total cost of the work carried out was £175. 08 but the part that made me laugh was, 3. 75 litres of oil was £4. 27 !!
It comes with the original service book 10 stamps to 1979. We also have around 12 old MOT’s dating from 1981 to 1985 and 1988 to 1996.
As i say, a very interesting and comprehensive history which backs up the original mileage of 91, 740.
The car is very complete. including convertible roof, x2 Tonneau covers (Small and large types)
The engine is not running, and currently not turning over.
This little MG needs some care and attention but the bonus is that the car comes with many of the original parts and the body panels are very straight.
