The car has an original petrol heater in the front that gives instant heat. The rear seats fold down to carry extra luggage. AM radio still works and so does everything else. It was once used in Norway in -10 degrees and the car was nice and warm inside! Incredibly effective for the year. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eThis Roman Red Corvair was sold new in Phoenix Arizona to a Norwegian lady (Still have original hand book with dealer and buyer names, rear dealer sticker still on the car!). She brought it back to Oslo Norway in 1961 and for the next 25 years it was used as a Sunday driver. A collector then owned the car until 2008 when the current owner bought the car.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eCar has done many trips over Europe without issues. It’s not a racecar, but has no problem keeping up with modern traffic, this car handles much better than most American cars from the time.  The huge wrap around front and rear windscreens gives excellent visibility.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eThe Corvair unfairly got a bad rep by Ralf Nader. Nader decided to highlight the Corvair in his book Unsafe at any speed. Today it’s no secret the big 3 where cutting corners, but the Corvair was no less safe than any other car from 1960.
