Toyota Land Cruiser 70 FZJ79 Pickup

Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series Pickup | 4.5 Petrol | Left Hand Drive

A proper old-school Land Cruiser, with a 4.5-litre straight-six petrol engine, manual gearbox and unmistakable Toyota styling.

Imported from the Middle East and now located in France, this low-mileage example presents beautifully in its light metallic paintwork with red and orange graphics. The bodywork and underside are rust-free, with a remarkably well-preserved interior and a practical full-length pickup bed.

The 70 Series was introduced in 1984 as the successor to the legendary 40 Series. Built with strength, durability and demanding working conditions in mind, it became one of Toyota’s best-known workhorses. The separate chassis, substantial running gear and straightforward design are a large part of its enduring appeal.

The 4.5-litre six-cylinder petrol engine brings smooth power and plenty of character, paired with a manual gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive with low range. A great combination for a classic pickup, whether you’re looking for something to enjoy at weekends, take touring or use as the starting point for an adventure vehicle.

Recent work includes

  • New carburettor
  • New starter motor
  • Braking system renewed
  • Serviced
  • New wheels and tyres

Inside, the patterned upholstery, simple dashboard and traditional controls give it plenty of period charm. Outside, the chrome bumpers, bold side graphics and cab protection bar complete the look. The load bed retains the marks of use you would expect from a working Toyota.
